Dave Hunt (1926-2013) was a forthright Evangelical apologist who could never be accused of mincing words when it came to the Gospel. In this film, Hunt examines how ecumenism squares with God's Word. Special emphasis is given to the Vatican's efforts to gather together all of the world's religions under its leadership.

Scripture says there is only one way of salvation, by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ecumenists claim there is truth in all religions and that everyone can merit Heaven by "following the light they've been given" and by being "good." The current pope has said EVEN ATHEISTS will merit Heaven if they are "good" and follow their consciences.

- John Wycliffe, the brilliant 14th century Oxford scholar, translated the Bible from Latin into English in order to enlighten the masses oppressed through ignorance. His work was so despised by the established church, that Pope Martin V ordered Wycliffe's bones to be dug up and burned forty years after his death.

- Martin Luther was one of the few who challenged church authority in the 16th century and lived to tell the tale. In exposing the folly of indulgences (paying money to the church in order to obtain favor with God), he revealed what had always been written in Scripture, that justification was through faith and faith alone.

- William Tyndale was not spared like his friend Luther. Tyndale spent the last 500 days of his life in a cold castle dungeon. He was then tied to a stake, strangled, and burned. His crime?.. printing Bibles in the English language!

The spiritual excellence displayed in J. C. Ryle's writings cannot be underestimated: a lengthy introduction tells us the seven aspirations which Ryle holds when teaching his fellow Christian. Delving into great detail to explain each aim, and supporting his statements by citing scripture, the author displays an impressive devotion both to the Lord and to all believers who choose to read his words.

This manual is arranged according to topics; the first chapter focuses exclusively upon sin, the second on sanctification, the third on holiness, and so on. By concentrating on a single topic at a time, Ryle is able to offer detail and profundity in a way more diffuse or expansive texts might not.

(We should do one of these for America) Read how the Virgin Mary is being used to bring that rebellious daughter, Islam, back into cooperation with "Mother Church." The global "super-church" is forming! (I wouldn't go that route I would be more for Jesus.)
